On an Intel-based Mac: if you use Shift-Option-Command-R during startup, you'll be offered the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version that is still available. If you use Option-Command-R during startup, in most cases you'll be offered the latest macOS that is compatible with your Mac. The Dell Thunderbolt Dock – WD19TB is now Apple Certified and will work with the following Apple branded devices which feature the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port:
- MacBook Pro
- MacBook Air
- iPad Pro
Piano game software. When connected to a compatible Apple device, the Dell Thunderbolt Dock – WD19TB can support the following monitor configurations & modes: Microsoft office for 2 macs.
- Single 5K
- Dual 4K
- Extended (Work around required)
- Desktop Mode
When using the Dell Thunderbolt Dock – WD19TB with an Apple device, the dock will provide up to 90W of power delivery (when connected to a Dell device, it will provide up to 130W). |
For Dell Thunderbolt Dock – WD19TB that were purchased before the date of this publication (September 20, 2020) the Firmware on the WD19TB will need to be updated. |
For support issues pertaining to connecting the Dell Thunderbolt Dock – WD19TB to an Apple product, you must contact Apple Support. Should you contact Dell Technical Support, they will refer you to Apple for assistance. |

- Docking issues may be due to the Apple device. Customers should call Apple if they have a docking issues when using a certified dock with Apple USB-C hosts. Apple may require the device to carry an active AppleCare+ warranty / support or AppleCare+ Subscription.
